Tarmac & Modular Paving Reinstatement Teams Job Vacancy

Job Description

You will be actively engaged in attending sites in Essex and Hertfordshire with the specific role not limited to but including, backfill, hot/cold-lay and/or modular paving reinstatement and traffic management. Safe set-up of an operational reinstatement site, safe operation of any required tools, plant and fleet to carry the required task are critical.

Sites could be previously excavated or where exposed underground apparatus is present and work should be completed in line with method statements and correct closure of any reinstated site to standards outlined within method statements, HAUC specification or Highways legislation including full site clearance of any waste materials, tools, signing or equipment. These are to agreed safety & quality standards including compliance to all internal policy, method statements and external guidelines & legislation.

All teams must maintain and supervise a high quality of workmanship standards in line with quality policy whilst being as efficient and cost effective as possible. Further, delivering own work within timescales and commitment time via Right First-Time practices and behaviours.

You must have at least 2 years’ experience of reinstatement practices. Be customer focused and conduct business in a professional manner and to assist in the production of electronic records and reports of task related activities, including customer related enquiries is a pre-requisite.  This includes being able to operate laptop, iPad and smartphone.

Entry level Occupational Health Tests are a mandatory requirement

Qualification and experience

• NRSWA Units 1-10 for Excavation/Reinstatement
• Full clean Driving License
• CSCS Health & Safety
• Interpersonal / Customer Skills
• Physically able to excavate and assist in safely moving plant/kit
• Basic Numeracy and literacy
• Ability to effectively operate laptop, camera, and smartphone
• Excavation/Reinstatement

Salary: Negotiable + Bonus
