Deep Excavation 16″ Main
Affinity Water, Harlow
Our Turnkey Trailer Teams were dispatched to the site in Harlow for deep excavation exploration works in a public area and busy thoroughfare. We enabled our teams to work on a rota ensuring that the work was completed as quickly as possible. We reused existing materials, as part of our Circular economy, to reduce cost, time and impact on the environment as well as achieve fuel improvement. This involved returning the valuable as dug materials which were fit for purpose prior to excavation.
Owing to the location of the excavation, we worked quickly and efficiently to create a safe site using barriers and signage. This included creating a suitable temporary large footpath around the works area, on top of a grass area, which was suitable for vulnerable customer access, such as wheelchairs.
Prior to works commencing, Site Specific Risk Assessments were carried out in collaboration with the client to ensure that Zero Harm was achieved. In addition, we employed Safe Dig techniques in order to step the side walls for easy access and prevent heave and subsidence. We also carried out detailed Method Statements with the client.
Due to our safe and fast working we were able to complete the excavation with zero disruption for both the customer and pedestrians. Our turnkey delivery was executed smoothly and efficiently.
