Plant Coordinator Job Vacancy

Job Description:

The Plant Coordinator is required to provide operational support to the project team, hiring, tracking, verifying and maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and internal cost controls. You will liaise extensively with operational personnel and approved suppliers.

Key Responsibilities: On / off hire of plant and fleet assets, preparation and management of a detailed hire data base with cost control of all hired plant and vehicles and ensure anything idle is off hired. Ensure weekly plant returns are completed accurately and on time. Liaison with operations to provide forecasts of future hire requirements and estimated costs. Estimating and presentation of cost forecasts, general administration duties for the plant department. Write off / break down reporting and general plant reporting covering commercial and procurement requirements.

Actively seek to improve plant and equipment records and cost control via processes and procedures and have a good understanding of owned and hired plant in the utility sector. Control of all project plant to ensure effective interaction between commercial and operational delivery teams to key measures & targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate is preferred to meet all of the following criteria:

Have previous experience in dealing with plant equipment.

Have strong Admin / Coordinator experience.

Be able to deal with in a calm professional manner at all levels of staff and operatives.

Excellent PC skills specifically Microsoft Excel.

Ideally hold a CSCS card.

Able to keep detailed records of cost.

Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving fluid environment.

Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative.
